Context & Challenges

Saigon South International School (SSIS) is a well-established international school in Ho Chi Minh City, offering education from Kindergarten to Grade 12 under the IB and American curricula. As part of its vision to develop a smart and future-ready learning environment, SSIS initiated an ICT infrastructure upgrade to support its growing academic and operational needs.

The project’s key challenge was to build a high-bandwidth and reliable network infrastructure across the entire campus. This infrastructure was needed to ensure seamless connectivity for critical systems such as High-Speed WiFi, AV, CCTV, IP Clock, and various smart management platforms. The deployment of Cat.6A FTP LSZH cabling required strict installation standards to guarantee electromagnetic interference protection and support data transmission speeds of up to 10Gbps. In addition, an integrated access control solution was essential to enhance security for students, teachers, and visitors, all while meeting a tight project timeline.

Netcab’s Solution

To address these requirements, Netcab delivered a comprehensive Structured Cabling System (SCS) designed in accordance with international standards and tailored to the needs of a modern educational environment.

The horizontal cabling system was implemented using Cat.6A FTP LSZH cables, providing bandwidth of up to 10Gbps and ensuring excellent resistance to electromagnetic interference in high-density electronic environments. For the backbone network, a combination of OM3 multi-mode and OS2 single-mode fiber optic cables was deployed to optimize transmission performance and support future scalability.

The ELV infrastructure was developed in a fully integrated manner, incorporating centralized equipment racks and a well-organized network management system to facilitate efficient operation and maintenance. In addition, Netcab implemented a Suprema access control system, enabling authentication through fingerprint, facial recognition, and mobile Bluetooth. This solution enhances campus security while allowing flexible and efficient management of access to key areas such as school entrances, classrooms, and functional spaces.

All deployment activities were carried out in compliance with international standards, including TIA/EIA-568 and BICSI RCDD, ensuring system quality, reliability, and long-term performance.

Results & Value Delivered

The project was successfully completed and delivered on schedule, providing SSIS with a stable and scalable ICT infrastructure ready to support future development. The Cat.6A network, combined with a high-performance fiber optic backbone, ensures high-speed connectivity across the entire campus, effectively supporting WiFi coverage as well as teaching, learning, and administrative activities.

The implementation of the Suprema access control system at key locations significantly enhances campus security and creates a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. Thanks to its integrated and flexible design, the new infrastructure allows the school to easily expand its systems in the future while optimizing long-term operational and maintenance costs.

The successful delivery of this project not only supports SSIS in its journey toward a modern and digitally enabled educational environment but also reinforces Netcab’s capability as a trusted provider of ICT infrastructure solutions for the international education sector.

The structured cabling system is systematically managed, strictly adhering to technical and aesthetic standards.
