Context & Initial Challenges

LEGO built a cutting‑edge manufacturing plant in the VSIP III industrial park (Bình Dương) with stringent ICT requirements. The factory was designed to meet LEED green‑building standards and support automation on the production line. Netcab faced the challenge of deploying a very large network (over 3,000 cable outlets and nearly 500 cameras) under a tight one‑year schedule. We needed to ensure rock‑solid connectivity for the ERP system and numerous IoT devices on the automated line, all while adhering to LEGO’s strict technical and sustainability standards.

Netcab’s Solution

Netcab designed and implemented the entire ICT infrastructure for the factory. We installed a high‑performance structured cabling system (including Cat.6A/Cat.7 SFTP copper cables) and a fiber‑optic backbone (OM3/OS2) across the plant. Our team provided full Wi‑Fi coverage in all areas. We also deployed a comprehensive video surveillance network and access control at critical points. All installations were executed to international cabling standards and integrated seamlessly with the factory’s automation systems. The solution complied with LEED requirements, ensuring energy efficiency and reliability in the network design.

Results & Value

The network went into operation with exceptional stability in the highly automated manufacturing environment. High‑speed data links and plant‑wide Wi‑Fi enabled seamless communication between the ERP software and IoT production devices, boosting production efficiency. Continuous connectivity ensured accurate process control and enhanced worker safety on the line. The factory systems began operations on schedule and the robust ICT infrastructure contributed to the facility achieving LEED certification. This project demonstrated Netcab’s ability to deliver reliable, large‑scale ICT infrastructure for high‑tech manufacturing.
